What is Struts2?

Struts2 is a Java Web application framework developed by Apache Software Foundation. It is released under Apache Software License 2.0 and can be used freely in commercial projects.

Struts2 provides a framework for building Web applications and includes externalized navigation rules, web form validation components, html tag libraries with out of the box internationalization support and AJAX/Portal application support. Using built in plug-in support Struts2 functionality can be easily extended.
